About Me
Like any established designer, I am deeply grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to build a career doing what I love. I’m passionate about the intersection of design, technology, and leadership. Having worked in environments ranging from scrappy startups to global tech giants, I’ve seen firsthand the profound impact thoughtful design can have on daily interactions.
As a Design Director, Principal, and Staff Individual Contributor, I’ve had the privilege of working with world-class companies like Expedia, SoFi, and Current TV, and I currently lead a talented team at ThoughtSpot. In this role, we face the challenge of integrating AI into business intelligence.
My design philosophy centers on finding the sweet spot where user needs, business goals, and technology intersect. By adhering to my evolving design process, conducting thorough user research, and fostering a culture of creative and accountable leadership, I strive to deliver products that not only meet but exceed expectations, empowering users to excel in both their professional and personal lives.

Mentoring
I also dedicate time to mentoring other designers. It brings me great joy to share my knowledge and, in turn, learn more about the ever-evolving design community. I am actively involved with ADP.org, spending a few hours each week discussing design careers and helping to answer tough questions about finding success and happiness through design.
Music
In addition to design, I enjoy creating and performing music. I have toured and performed in the US, Europe, and the UK, been involved with recording five full-length albums, and countless singles and remixes. Over the last 25 years, I’ve been involved in five bands, performed as a techno DJ and producer in the Bay Area, and owned and managed Miner Street Recordings, a music studio in Philadelphia.
